What is Recuperative Care?

Recuperative care offers safe, short-term housing for individuals experiencing homelessness who need a safe place to heal following a hospital or emergency room discharge. Without this support, many would be forced to recover on the streets, increasing the risk of complications and readmission.

Through referrals from hospitals and healthcare partners, clients enter Beloved Housing where they receive care, case management, behavioral health services, and substance use counseling. This approach not only improves health outcomes, but also reduces healthcare costs, lowers emergency room visits and hospital stays, and strengthens each individual’s connection to critical resources on their journey toward stable housing.
